I am a BeautiControl consultant. I started it about a year ago and did it b/c I wanted the great discount on products. Then I realized that I could do this and the more I went to meetings and talked with my director, I realized that not only could I do this, but I could make a living at it!

So, here I am a year later. I haven't been at it solidly for a year (had some bumps in the road), but I am literally one step away from being a director, which means that I could/can/will be able to replace my teaching salary. Who couldn't want that? Make your own hours, have the potential to earn MORE than you currently do and spend way more time with your family!

Prayers are needed that my successes continue. Don't get me wrong, it isn't easy and I am working hard. I know the hard work will pay off, but prayers from more than just me are always a good thing.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-2370821958859721412010-10-10T18:56:00.002-05:002010-10-11T19:32:40.887-05:00Face BookI know I've asked this before: Do you FB? If so, how often? I rarely get on and even more seldom do I actually make a post. I did add some pictures a few weeks ago, but that's about it. At the beginning of the new year, when we are forced to go to all those meetings, I FB'ed a lot b/c I was sitting bored in meetings. However, not with the hussle and bussle of the days, it doesn't happen very often. Then I also think, "what am I doing that ANYONE would care about?"

If I'm waiting in line someplace, then I'll grab my phone and check to see what is going on...but once I get home, it just doesn't happen.

I will say that if I could blog from my phone as easily as I can FB, then I'd do that. This is my own little editorial world and FB doesn't quite fit that bill.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-87574327152419538302010-10-10T18:50:00.000-05:002010-10-10T18:56:35.482-05:00Long time........no blog, right? So where have I been? Not anywhere exciting. I am disappointed in myself for not keeping up with this. Why? Because I like to write and share and this small little forum is good for me. I have a few close friends, but no one I talk to on a daily basis, so this is sorta it! We are all so very busy and it is a shame that we can't even get on the phone very often.

I used to travel to work for 30 min. each way. Boy did I get a handful of calls made each day. However, now it takes about 10 min. to get to the sitter and less than 3 to then get to school.....not much time for a phone call!!

I used to update this during my lunch hour. But, my new employer isn't quite the same and I don't want to give them a reason to come looking at my computer activity (even though I do wonder since it would be on my time...). I'm guessing if it was my computer, my wireless internet, then it wouldn't be a big deal.

Anyway, I will do my darndest to keep up with this for both my sanity, and maybe even yours!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-66139288167082232972010-06-01T08:16:00.000-05:002010-06-01T08:16:00.289-05:00What women do.........so probably like most wives and moms, I spend more of my energy on my family than on me. Hubby has no issue with buying stuff for the boat/fishing, but I don't think of things for me....with that said, I decided that this summer, I am changing that. Aside from the normal bills that swimming money goes to, I am saving money to get lazer surgery on my eyes (I am SOOO blind without glasses/contacts) and I am getting the lazer hair removal.

I've already started the process and it isn't that bad....not a barrel of fun, but ok for the time it takes. Currently, I'm working on my underarms and lower legs. Bikini will come, but this is an expensive process and I need to save my pennies. Did my underarms first and have had my second treatment. It has gone well, except for the hives I got on my legs. Had to go in the other night b/c of it. Just so you know, hives itch like the dickens and look like crap!!! But, with a little Benedryl cream, I'm all better now. Was told that this could happen each time; I'm one of the random, "lucky" people that this sometimes happens to. Joy, joy!!

With as much time as I spend in the water, this is my treat to myself. I'll eventually do the bikini, and that will be terrific!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-70348481601289600462010-05-31T08:39:00.000-05:002010-05-31T08:39:00.277-05:00Pictures - Because it has been awhile

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-35793710275886066672010-05-30T08:31:00.000-05:002010-05-30T08:31:00.588-05:00The FogI live in a fog. Part of it is my own fault because I insist on having so much on my plate. Hubby is always telling me to sit and relax....but if I do, when will all of my stuff get done? I'm not a good person who can just sit....unless CSI is on and then I can literally sit for hours...but alas, I digress....some of my fog is because I have a young child. Thankfully, she sleeps through the night and has since she was two months old....but the fog still seeps into my brain.

For example, last week I had to drop off the girls with my inlaws while I went to Smooth Solutions (story to come). Anyway, heading on hwy and then turn the WRONG way. Usually this wouldn't be an issue, but it was during rush hour traffic at a VERY busy intersection.

Another example, load the car (amazing how much stuff I need DAILY to go to school and for the girls!), load the girls, about to get in the car and guess what??? NO SHOES!!!! Back into the garage, unlock the house, disarm the alarm, get shoes and do it all over again! OMG, get it together! :-)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-77548260066886153082010-05-29T08:35:00.000-05:002010-05-29T08:35:01.334-05:00Make you CRY!!!

I read a lot right now b/c I pump 5-6 times a day and what else do you do while sitting there for 15 minutes? Whew! This was an interesting year, to say the least!!!

I have been a special education teacher all year, which, BTW, was NOT what I interviewed for. But, when it is July and you don't have a J.O.B., you take what you can get. I've made my wishes known and pray, pray, pray that next year I can be a reading teacher again.

In the meantime, I am gearing up for swimming. No rest for the weary. I begin on Tuesday and have over 40 students on my book. Talk about a scheduling NIGHTMARE!! Only made one major oops and everyone else is happy! Yeah me and them!!!

I'm hoping to do better with all of this blogging, I really do enjoy it. It is my own little view on life/venting opportunity/bragging about my girls...yes, I said GIRLS b/c during my absence, I had a baby girl (more to come later).

I'm on FB now, but I don't do much there either. So all you bloggers, don't feel that I've neglected you for something else, b/c I haven't!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-24335673024784291422009-12-22T14:20:00.000-06:002009-12-22T14:26:55.749-06:00Gearing UpAre you done with all of your shopping? Me? Almost. Mr. UPS knocked on my door and delivered a package today...........I actually ordered this stuff over 6 weeks ago, so it isn't like I was running behind! I started my Christmas shopping this summer This is a good thing, but also bad b/c I have a tendency to forget that I've gotten things for people and then remember later!

Right now I have a gift hidden, and I don't remember where I hid it. We do not live in a large house. I put it in a good place, obviously, but have no idea where! Go figure. The saddest part is that I hid it less than 3 weeks ago! I'm just losing my mind. No worries, maybe I'll get it back in the near future. Maybe I won't and I'll just get used to not having mental capabilities.

Don't lose your mind shopping. I do warn you not to go to the grocery store unless you absolutely HAVE to. ZOO!!! And it was during the day!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-76756197189693000132009-09-28T20:40:00.000-05:002009-09-28T20:40:00.212-05:00Big Bus vs Little BusYes, we sometimes let our child watch Sponge Bob....could we do better? I'm sure. Could we do worse? Oh, yes, I think so!

If you've never watched it, you aren't missing much. Sponge Bob has a side-kick named Patrick and Patrick is definitely NOT the smart one of the two. So, we have a running joke at our house that Patrick rides the short bus (no offense to anyone who really does, just a joke in our house). Anyway, one morning on the way to school, Little tells me that she is Sponge Bob, I can be the squirrel and Daddy is Patrick. I just about died laughing!! I texted hubby to share the news and told him that now he is the official short bus rider in the family.

I know this isn't PC, but it was funny....probably a lot funnier in my head than written here! I promise, it was funny!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-32146057176619068672009-09-27T20:35:00.000-05:002009-09-27T20:35:00.538-05:00New Bed

....did you know that you can sleep better in a big bed? Some are minor infractions, and only once in awhile.....others are ALL the time.

Are you a late person or an on time person? We have some folks that roll in late (more than 5 or 10 min.) on a daily basis.

We have a dress code, as most companies do....and jeans are only allowed on Fridays. I see jeans ALL the time and I even see SHORTS! (and not from the coaching staff!!!)

We have set work hours (from X time to Y time)....and I see people leave DAILY before the buses are even gone (which is about 30 min early)! I know things come up and life gets in the way and you have to re-adjust your schedule...but EVERY day?

The reason I ponder this is b/c I just KNOW that if I wore jeans on a day other than Friday, I'd get called in about it. If I was late, called in on it. Left early, called in on it. I'd just like to know what is going on in some people's minds that they don't have issue with any of this.

That's all for now! Have an outstanding FRIDAY!!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650429148334670654.post-56325930621185309452009-09-15T02:25:00.000-05:002009-09-15T02:25:00.671-05:00Painting

We have a bar that separates the kitchen and living room. Cute in a story, not when they are leaving poop on your stuff and it is just plain creepy!!!! Thank the Lord they've never ventured into the casa!

We've set traps and have moved onto poison. You can see holes in the insulation where they are burrowing!! I have stuff up in the attic that I need to get to, but I won't go up there b/c I don't want to accidentally run into one.

We think we have curbed the problem, but they have now decided they like the view from the pool and are burrowing in the dirt between the pool and flower bed!!! YIKES! Silly little creatures. So, now there is poison hidden out there (have child, don't want her or the dog getting ahold of it!). So, I swore that there would never be one in my house.

A few months back, we were at some friends' house and we played on their Wii. OMG, what a fun time!

So, I bought myself one for my birthday. I LOVE it. I don't play it all the time. But, I did get the EA Sport so that I can do some sort of exercise out of the heat! It isn't the same as running, but it is better than nothing and it is a lot more than the Wii Fit (that's just fun!).

If you don't have one, I would HIGHLY recommend getting one. There are games for almost all ages. Little has a Dora game, but she's not that into it. I'm more than ok with that. I usually play it when she is napping; it is just easier.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
