This is why I teach swimming....

This is Baby Carson, she is seven months old and this was taken on her 9th day of lessons. All babies won't pick up the skills as quickly as she has, and she isn't completely done, but she is pretty close!

Birthday Party Fun

We went to two different birthday parties this weekend and my daughter LOVES to be the center of attention. This is a picture before we left the house: she had to wear her sun glasses like Mama does and she LOVES her Daddy! And at one of the parties, there was a tractor!!! Big time fun!!!

Backyard: Progress....but not done yet!!!

Well, I'm not going to say it has been fun, b/c it hasn't...but we are closer to our backyard being a fun place to be!!! The pool is done and as you can see, it has water! The porch is done and actually now, not shown in the picture, the flagstone and steps are done!! YEAH!!! There is still concrete work to be done and that will happen early next week...hopefully. When you are a small job, it is hard to get priority. And we have a dog, in case you didn't know it! Zeus is a black lab and he loves us and is working on not pottying inside, right by the door!!!

Blackberries!

Blackberries are just one of my little monkey's FAVORITE fruits......sometimes I think she is going to turn into a FRUIT BASKET!!!!

Quite the Fisherman

If I'm sending him off to BASS fish, why the heck is he catching the MONSTER CATFISH? These fellas weighed in the range of 25-30lbs!!! HUGE and he caught them with jigs....so it isn't like he was intentionally going for these. And, yes, he set them free. I'm thinking that if I was fishing with him, the darn fish would have pulled me over the boat and ate ME!

Oh...the joys of a job site!!!

I am currently attending required staff development for my district....the only good part about this is that I get to come home for lunch.....however, when you come home and there are THREE different crews working around your house, not so fun!!! We have a guy finishing the fence, then there is the stone guy (see his work on the porch?) and then there are the pool guys doing the coping (that's the edge of the pool for those not familiar with pool lingo!).....they are telling us that NEXT weekend we will be swimming in it!!! YEE HAA...but I'll say that as I dip my body into it!
